We have become aware that the school no longer welcomes parents on site with their cars. This has caused a number of near misses on Broadway in the short time the new policy has be in force. We have been made aware that the parents are concerned about the current situation and consider the practice to be dangerous. We have had a meeting with the Head Teacher who has explained that the actions she had taken were purely in the interests of safety for her pupils. We have become aware that Derby City Council has reviewed its criteria for free bus travel to schools and we are concerned that this may result in even more parents bringing their cars into the area to collect their children. We are actively seeking a meeting with the City Council and Police. Please let us know of your experiences.
