Please help us to keep residents informed of issues affecting you.  You never know others may be similarly affected.  Working together for the benefit of the area we have a much better chance of succeeding.

Broadway Public House

The outcome of the Licence Application appeal has seen some modification of the new conditions introduced by the Licensing Committee.  However, I am happy to say that there are still very strong conditions which the owners have to comply with to protect residents.

The latest news is that the owners have now applied for Planning Permission to modify the Patio Areas and wish to remove tables and chairs from the Broadway facing side of the building.  We welcome the fact that at long last there is some recognition that a problem exists.  The proposed alterations, whilst bringing some improvements, do not go far enough to reduce noise levels.  We have approached both the company and the City Council with the view  to having acoustic screening included in the project.
